Sustainability is an ongoing part of the way NOHRD develops and manufactures fitness equipment. From the materials we select and the way we use energy to the durability and serviceability of our products, we continuously look for ways to use resources more responsibly.

Our goal is to create high-quality fitness equipment designed for many years of use while continually improving the processes behind it.

Long-lasting and upgradeable NOHRD fitness equipment

BUILT TO LAST

Longevity is an important part of the NOHRD approach to product development. Our equipment is designed for long-term use, with serviceability, spare parts and selected upgrades helping to extend its useful life.

Instead of treating fitness equipment as a short-lived product, we aim to create equipment that can remain part of your training for many years.

Responsible sourcing

OUR WOOD

Wood is one of the defining materials of NOHRD equipment. We place great importance on responsible sourcing and use wood from managed forests and renewable timber resources in the American Appalachians and Germany.

At our own sawmill in Nordhorn, timber can be stored, selected and processed with greater control over the material before it enters production.

Renewable resources

OUR ENERGY

Renewable energy plays an important role at our manufacturing site in Nordhorn. Waste wood generated during production is used as a source of heat, allowing us to make further use of material that would otherwise remain unused.

In addition, solar panels installed on our facilities generate a substantial share of the electricity used in our operations.

Our goal is to consider responsible use of resources throughout the entire value chain. We work with suppliers, review materials and processes, reduce unnecessary packaging and continue to identify opportunities to improve the way our products are manufactured and delivered.

For NOHRD, sustainability is not a single measure but an ongoing process of making thoughtful choices wherever meaningful improvements are possible.
